The Alchemy of Stillness: Shifting Frequency and Actualizing Your Human Expression
The Alchemy of Stillness: Shifting Frequency and Actualizing Your Human Expression
We spend much of our lives operating under the heavy, inherited illusion that our existence requires constant management just to keep moving forward. The truth is, life happens whether we try to force it or not. **We do not have to manage life itself; we only need to manage the style in which we perform within it.
We received a profound, global demonstration of this truth during the COVID lockdowns. When humanity was forced into collective stillness, we witnessed that Mother Earth will heal all that she has birthed if we simply give her the opportunity.
When we paused and stopped imposing our relentless demands for comfort and convenience onto the planet and onto each other nature immediately began to breathe, rebalance, and restore itself.
The profound benefit of this stillness is realizing that the universe does not need us to pull its strings. Far from rendering our existence meaningless, this awareness is the key to true liberation. It strips away the necessity of survival-mode reactions which, in our modern world, rarely look like running from predators.
Instead, survival mode manifests as the rigid roles and identities we cling to for safety. These roles provide a comforting illusion; they make us think and feel that we know exactly who we are.
We wrap ourselves in titles and societal expectations, convincing ourselves that if we play our assigned parts perfectly, we will be secure even if only within ourselves.
Yet, when life inevitably challenges us, the illusion fractures and we are forced to choose: we can rigidly resist, fighting to maintain the role and reputation of our “known” character “care-actor” or we can adapt.
When we step into stillness, we replace that exhausting performance with the freedom of conscious choice. We transition from studying the map to walking the territory, stepping out of our manufactured roles and into our actualized human expression.
Here is how we navigate that journey and shift the very fabric of our reality.
1. Shifting the Frequency of Our Cause
If we want to view and experience another reality, we do not need to physically escape our current circumstances. We only need to shift the frequency of our causation between belief and being expressed by our be-having. Unity of the Father of all thought and our Mother Earth that nourishes, supports and challenges all that she births.
Everything begins with the energy we project. Our root intentions act as the blueprint for the world we experience.
When we operate from survival mode, our frequency is rooted in fear and control. We mentally, emotionally, physically financially exhaust ourselves trying to manage the external structures of our lives and the organizations we build. But when we consciously alter that internal frequency, we drop the burden of being the “manager” of our reality and instead become a fluid steward of energy. By operating from a place of clear intention rather than reactive habit, the external world naturally shifts to reflect us. We are no longer victims of our circumstances, nor are we prisoners to our roles; we are the active creators of our experience.
2. Finding Joy Within the Ache
The human experience is inherently dualistic, and avoiding discomfort is a futile endeavor. I learned this firsthand as a teenager when I was told I needed to be medicated so I wouldn’t feel depressed or anxious. The medication worked, but at a terrible cost: I couldn’t feel anything. I was so numb that I could cut myself, unintentionally hurt myself, or another and feel absolutely nothing. I remember the desperation of yelling at my mom, begging her to truly hear me, pleading with her not to dismiss my reality just because “doctors know best.”
I realized then that not feeling anything was infinitely worse than feeling it all. Society often tells us we are broken if we don’t follow the status quo even in their own woes, and industries market that this or that needs to be fixed or healed, but the truth is, we simply need to remember.
True healing is not about erasing the ache or fixing a defect; it is about remembering our innate wholeness. It is developing the techniques to manage the ups and downs of life while maintaining our center of being across mind, body, and e-motional spirit.
When pain arises now, there is a profound opportunity to find joy within its very experience, because feeling pain means we are growing in some way beyond the rigid mental narratives filtered down by our conditioned consciousness.
Society often tries to confine us to the rigid shores of a “right way” and a “wrong way” to walk our path. But true awareness is the river flowing between those shores.
Our internal guides help us navigate that currency, discerning our own unique way in relation to all other ways of being and believing as we flow in harmony with one another.
This is the essence of Unity also labeled as Christ Consciousness: it is not a singular, dogmatic path, but rather all ways operating in harmony and collaboration with each other. We cannot truly co-create our reality by just following how others tell us to live and still call ourselves conscious. And when we encounter the deep pain of shifting relationships or dashed expectations, we must remember this fundamental truth:
Love never breaks; only our egoic identities of what it means do. The ache we feel is not the failure of love, but the shedding of the false conditions our ego tried to place upon it. By embracing this raw, somatic evidence of life with gratitude, we change the narrative of pain from mere suffering into a catalyst for profound growth.
3. Releasing the Fear of Possibilities
Life is constantly presenting us with open doors. Yet, the fear of possibilities often prevents us from fully living. We construct elaborate justifications for why we cannot take our next step of fulfillment, even though the path forward is always presented to us.
Fear masquerades as a protective guide, but it ultimately stifles our growth. It keeps us anchored in the familiar, even when the familiar no longer serves us. When we recognize our inherent unity with the unfolding possibilities of life, we can release the need to justify our hesitations. We can simply say “yes” to the horizon.
4. Moving Into Actualized Expression
Knowing these truths intellectually is only the beginning. The true work is embodiment.
With the freedom of choice born from stillness, we must cultivate the willingness to go beyond what we have known. This begins with a radical act: letting people show up exactly as they are—which, most importantly, includes letting *ourselves* show up as we are.
No one else can be you. Every perspective is unique. How we take these lessons and apply them into our own distinct style of being a human life is exactly what refines our character. We are called to transcend the limitations of those who have tried to define our reality for us. This is the essence of being an actualized human being: translating inner truth into outer action. It is doing, creating, and living as a pure expression of your unique design.
Life will happen with or without you. The question is, what style will you choose to bring to the performance?
