Presented Truths and the Character of Being: Growing Beyond Identity Into Presence
Presented Truths and the Character of Being
I have discovered that there is no such thing as a lie, only a presented truth within that moment of time and space.
These truths do not just belong to others. They also belong to me. Every story I have told, every mask I have worn, every role I have played has been a reflection of the truth I could hold in that season of life. Each one was real in its moment, even if I have since grown beyond it.
When we look back at the roles we have played child, partner, friend, employee, or even adversary, manipulator, cheater we see not lies but truths shaped by our awareness at the time. To reject them is to reject ourselves. To meet them with presence is to step into compassion for the character of our becoming.
Presence Beyond Identity
Growth is not about clinging to identities or condemning the parts we once lived through. Growth arises when we allow the presented truths of our character to be honored for what they were, then release them. We are not bound to the stories of our roles. We are invited into presence.
Presence is where identity dissolves and essence emerges. In presence we are not the sum of our past performances. We are the living frequency of now, a unique expression of consciousness, not different from the whole yet unlike any other.
Walking Forward
To grow is not to erase the truths of our past roles but to carry them as stepping stones. They show us how far we have walked. They teach us compassion for others still living those roles. They remind us that the truth of our being is not fixed in identity. It is alive in presence.
Every presented truth, yours, mine, and ours, is an invitation to step out of performance and into being. Not beyond the self, but deeper into the presence that is already whole.
