Founder & Holistic Recovery Guide
Newport, KY
Founder, Guide, Author, Speaker, and Conscious Participant in Human Enhancement I, Chris “Yellow Owl” Albaugh’s work began long before Enhancing Your World had a name, but it's been a vision since I was a child. It began through a lifetime of searching, through abuse, and reconciliation, success and loss, relationships and separation, addiction and recovery, spiritual exploration, entrepreneurship, service, and the humbling realization that knowing how to help others does not remove the responsibility of continuing to heal and understand ourselves. I have lived through experiences that could have easily become permanent identities, but they always seemed to misfit just a little. I have gone by many labels as a punk, rebel, outcast to an entrepreneur, business owner, recovery mentor, energy practitioner, teacher, student, husband, father, son, artist, performer, seeker, and guide. Yet, I do not believe any role, title, accomplishment, mistake, or chapter fully defines a life of a person. They are expressions of who we have been becoming not the entirety of who we are as life is always unfolding through the participation of it. This understanding is at the heart of my practices. I do not approach people as broken or in need of being fixed. I recognize that people may be overwhelmed, disconnected, misaligned, wounded, confused, or separated from their natural capacity to heal. Like a broken bone that requires proper alignment or a deep wound that may need to be cleaned and carefully closed, support does not perform the healing for us. It helps create the conditions through which healing can naturally occur. My role is not to tell people who, how or why they should become. It is to help them remember, examine, and consciously participate in who they are in always becoming. A Life Shaped by Experience My understanding of recovery and human development was not only formed through books, trainings, certifications, or spiritual teachings. It was shaped through lived experience. My path has included addiction, destructive patterns, painful relationships, business challenges, financial loss, betrayals, heartbreaks, trauma, abuse, robbery, fire, flooding, divorce, and moments when the life he had built no longer resembled the life he believed he was meant to live where I attempted to surrender it all. Through these experiences, I began to recognize that recovery is not simply the removal of a substance, symptom, behavior, or difficult circumstance. Recovery is the restoration of relationships with the mind, emotions, body, spirit, finances, sexuality, community, environment, and the living world around us. Rather than counting the days since an old life ended, or when we stopped using a substance, I became interested in how consciously we participate in the life that is here now. This exploration led me through many paths of holistic wellness, energy work, meditation, breathwork, movement, nervous-system awareness, spiritual practice, plant traditions, sacred ceremony, Indigenous teachings, Eastern philosophy, Western psychology, entrepreneurship, community development, and the ordinary lessons found in nature, relationships, parenthood, loss, laughter, silence, and service. I do not present these experiences as proof that I possesses every answer, in fact I know I don't. They taught me to ask better questions, listen more deeply, and remain curious about the reality another person is experiencing. The Creation of Enhancing Your World I founded Enhancing Your World in 2016 from a simple observation: Many of humanity’s challenges are interconnected, yet the services intended to help us are often fragmented. Recovery is separated from wellness. Wellness is separated from education. Education is separated from community. Community is separated from leadership. Leadership is separated from stewardship. Individual is separated from our collective and tribal nature. People including me may have received temporary relief without developing the relationships, practices, resources, and support needed to participate consciously in their lives as they are attempting to measure up to something, some for or for someone. Enhancing Your World was created to help restore these connections. It is a growing ecosystem of practitioners, educators, creators, organizations, locations, members, and community participants working together to support holistic recovery, conscious living, meaningful relationships, responsible leadership, and human enhancement. At the center of this work is the GAUGE Framework: Gratitude. Awareness. Unity. Growth. Energy. These are not ideals that I believe people must perform perfectly. They are universal qualities that can help us recognize how we are relating to ourselves, one another, our circumstances, and the world we share. The living practice of GAUGE invites participants to: Ground. Attune. Understand. Guide. Enhance. Ground within the mind, emotions, and body. Attune through presence, breath, resonance, and conscious communication. Understand through compassion and consideration of the whole person. Guide without controlling, rescuing, or taking away another person’s response-ability. Enhance the conditions through which life can recover, grow, relate, and contribute. My Approach to Guidance and Healing I bring together practical experience, intuitive awareness, holistic recovery principles, energy practices, conscious communication, and relationship-centered guidance. My sessions and teachings are not based on forcing a predetermined solution onto someone’s life. I begin by listening. What has happened? What is being experienced now? What has already been attempted? What relationships, habits, environments, beliefs, and unmet needs may be influencing the current circumstances? What support would create the conditions for the person’s own healing intelligence, awareness, and response-ability to emerge? I may offer guidance, energetic support, educational resources, practical exercises, referrals, community connections, or a healing session. The purpose is not to make someone dependent upon the practitioner. It is to strengthen the person’s ability to participate consciously in their own life. I believe COMPASS-ion is more than feeling sorry for what another person is experiencing. Compassion asks how we can walk beside someone without attempting to control their path. Walking the Middle Way I have never wanted to tell others exactly what they must believe, how they must live, or who they must become. Honestly, I don't like when people try to do that to me. My life has taken me through many different worlds. I have walked between the spiritual and practical, the sacred and ordinary, the visible and unseen, the successful and struggling, the socially accepted and misunderstood. Rather than choosing one side and condemning the other, I continue to explore the middle way. The place where curiosity can replace certainty, awareness can interrupt reaction, and people can meet one another without surrendering their discernment. I believe truth is not found only in the words that we speak about love, healing, unity, or service. It is revealed through the quality of our participation in our day to day lives. How do we treat people when we disagree? How do we respond when circumstances do not unfold as expected? How do we care for what has been entrusted to us? How do our choices affect our bodies, relationships, communities, and planet? How willing are we to examine our impact without becoming imprisoned by shame? For Me, this is where philosophy becomes practice. An Invitation to Participate My purpose is not to build a following centered around myself, my image, nor information I share. It is to help create a living enviroment in which people can discover resources, share their gifts, receive meaningful support, strengthen their relationships, and contribute to the well-being of their communities and our planet. My guiding intention is simple: To be human and light be-ings while we leave life better than we experienced it. Life grows us when we remain present, aware, and willing to participate with care. Our response-abilities reveal the quality of our participation through each breath, decision, relationship, and opportunity. I invite people not merely to believe in a better world, but to explore how we are co-creating it together. Not through perfection. Not through performance. Not through pretending the past never happened. Through awareness, alignment, practice, relationship, repair, and the willingness to take the next conscious step. Walk with me and the Enhancing Your World community as we explore what becomes possible when healing, growth, service, and stewardship are no longer separate paths, but parts of one living relationship.

videoThe Missed-Understandings & Missed-Steps of Manifesting
We hear a lot about manifesting. Visualize what you want. Raise your vibration. Think positively. Set the intention. Believe it has already happened. Surrender to the process. But what if some of what we've been taught about manifestation has been missed-understood? And what if, in focusing so heavily on what we want to attract, we've been missing some of the steps that actually bring possibility into lived experience? In this episode of The Enhance Your World Show, we explore manifestation beyond wishful thinking, positive affirmations, and simply asking the universe to deliver what we desire. What happens between intention and manifestation? Where do awareness, belief, emotion, energy, choice, behavior, relationship, participation, action, and responsibility enter the process? Maybe manifestation isn't simply about attracting something toward us. Maybe it's also about recognizing what is already present, becoming aware of what we're participating in, noticing what we're resisting, and taking the steps necessary to meet possibility when it appears. We explore the difference between wanting something, believing something, becoming available for something, and actually participating in its creation. Because sometimes the opportunity we've been asking for arrives looking like work. Sometimes abundance requires circulation. Sometimes a new life requires releasing an old identity. Sometimes the relationship we want requires us to learn how to relate differently. Sometimes the door appears, but we still have to walk through it. And sometimes what manifests isn't what we consciously asked for at all, but an experience that reveals something about what we've been believing, choosing, avoiding, repeating, or becoming. Perhaps manifestation is less: “How do I make the universe give me what I want?” And more: “How am I participating with what was, what is, and what can be willed into being?” Join us as we explore the missed-understandings and missed-steps
videoThey Say Talk Is Cheap. So Where Is the Value in Your Actual Being?
They Say Talk Is Cheap. So Where Is the Value in Your Actual Being? We live in a world overflowing with words. Advice. Opinions. Promises. Teachings. Credentials. Content. Beliefs. Mission statements. Spiritual language. Personal brands. We can tell people who we are. We can explain what we believe. We can describe our values. We can post about healing, authenticity, integrity, freedom, love, consciousness, abundance, sovereignty, and service. But they say talk is cheap. So where does the value actually begin? Maybe it begins with a different question: What does your being communicate when you are no longer explaining yourself? In this episode of The Enhance Your World Show, we explore the relationship between what we say, what we believe, what we practice, what we participate in, and what our lives are actually becoming. Because knowing something isn't the same as embodying it. Talking about love isn't the same as loving. Talking about integrity isn't the same as living in alignment when integrity costs us something. Talking about healing isn't the same as examining the ways our unhealed patterns continue moving through our relationships. Talking about freedom isn't the same as allowing others the freedom to choose differently. Talking about abundance isn't the same as recognizing how often our decisions are still organized around fear and lack. And talking about consciousness doesn't necessarily mean we are consciously participating. Perhaps the real currency of a human being isn't simply what we know. Maybe, it's the quality and consistency of our participation. Our presence. Our attention. Our labor. Our choices. Our energy. Our relationships. Our consumption. Our creativity. Our willingness to question ourselves. Our ability to respond differently when experience reveals something our beliefs have not yet accounted for. There was a time when I became very comfortable selling parts of myself. My labor. My body. My ideas. My vision. My ability to co
videoUnexpected Blessings, Synchronicity & Signs
What if some of the most meaningful moments in our lives are the ones we never could have planned? A conversation that happens at exactly the right time. An animal appearing when we need a reminder. A song, a dream, a stranger, a feather, a delay, a detour, or an unexpected encounter that somehow speaks directly to where we are. We can call them coincidences. We can call them synchronicities. We can call them signs. But perhaps the greater question is not whether life is speaking to us. Perhaps it is whether we are present enough to notice. In this episode, we explore the unexpected blessings woven throughout our human experience. The moments that interrupt our plans, redirect our attention, challenge our assumptions, and sometimes reveal possibilities we could not yet see for ourselves. Not every sign is an instruction. Not every synchronicity means we are supposed to chase something, hold onto someone, or turn every experience into a prophecy. Sometimes the sign is simply an invitation to become more aware. To notice what is happening within us as much as what is happening around us. What were we thinking about when the moment appeared? What were we feeling? What relationship, decision, question, or possibility were we already carrying? And what does the experience reveal when we meet it with curiosity rather than immediately deciding what it must mean? Because synchronicity may not be about having the universe arrange life according to our desires. It may be about recognizing our relationship with life as it is unfolding. Some blessings arrive looking exactly like blessings. Others arrive disguised as delays, endings, disappointments, wrong turns, uncomfortable conversations, or circumstances that force us beyond what had become familiar. Only later do we recognize what they opened. The person we met. The path we discovered. The lesson we received. The boundary we finally honored. The part of ourselves we remembered. The life we began p
videoWhat Is Worth Dying For and Truly Living For?
What Is Dying For Worth Truly Living For? When Kogi elder Mamo Lorenzo was asked what was worth dying for, his answer was simple: nothing. Yet his response opens a deeper question: What is worth truly living for? In this episode of the *Enhance Your World Show*, we explore the difference between sacrificing our lives for beliefs, identities, institutions, possessions, and causes and devoting our lives to what genuinely extends life. Are we living for love, family, freedom, purpose, community, service, and the generations yet to come? Or are we slowly dying for careers, comfort, approval, appearances, and systems that leave us disconnected from ourselves, one another, and the Earth? Perhaps the greatest offering is not dying for what we believe in, but having the courage to embody it while we are alive. To love when love is difficult. To serve without needing recognition. To protect without becoming destructive. To give without losing ourselves. To participate fully, knowing that our time in this form is temporary. Death will eventually come for every living being. The deeper question is whether we will spend our lives avoiding it—or allow its inevitability to remind us to live with greater presence, purpose, reciprocity, and appreciation. What are you merely surviving for? And what is worthy of your one precious life?
videoWhy Do We Create Chaos While Nature Creates Order?
If natural laws already keeps the universe in balance, why do human beings so often experience chaos while trying to create order? In this thought-provoking conversation, Larkin and Chris explore the difference between control and harmony, asking whether our greatest struggles come not from life itself, but from our attempts to master what was never meant to be controlled. Together, they reflect on the wisdom found in nature, the gift and burden of human imagination, and how conscious participation may be a more meaningful path than domination. Through stories, observations, and practical reflection, they invite listeners to consider how every choice, relationship, and response shapes not only our own lives, but the world we leave behind. This episode is an invitation to pause, breathe, and rediscover what it means to live in right relationship with ourselves, one another, and the living world. Because perhaps we are not here to master life. Perhaps we are here to master our participation within it. Join us as we continue walking the middle way and discovering how, together, we can enhance our world.
videoTo Be Human Is to Matter. To Be Divine Is Lightness
To Be Human Is to Matter. To Be Divine Is Lightness. What does it truly mean to be human? Perhaps it isn't about perfection, achievement, or proving our worth. Perhaps it is remembering that every life matters, including our own. To be human is to care, to feel, to grieve, to celebrate, and to recognize that our choices ripple into the lives of others. But there is another invitation. To be divine is not to escape our humanity. It is to bring lightness into it. When we carry every burden without laughter, life becomes heavy. When we seek only pleasure without responsibility, we lose our grounding. The path of conscious participation asks us to hold both, to care deeply while remaining light enough to continue walking. In this episode, Larkin and Chris explore the balance between compassion and joy, responsibility and freedom, seriousness and play. Together they reflect on how laughter can become medicine, how presence transforms relationships, and how living with awareness allows us to serve something greater than ourselves without losing the wonder of being alive. Join us as we explore what it means to walk with open hearts, grounded feet, and a spirit that remembers both the weight and the lightness of life. Because to enhance our world, we first learn how to walk well within it.

videoWalking Between Destiny and Free Will
Walking Between Destiny and Free Will Are our lives already written, or are we creating them with every choice we make? In today's conversation, Larkin and Chris explore the space between destiny and free will, where possibility meets participation. Together they examine whether life is something that happens to us, something we control, or something we consciously co-create through our relationships, awareness, and willingness to participate. From ancient wisdom and modern perspectives to personal stories and lived experience, this episode invites listeners to reflect on the subtle dance between what calls us forward and how we choose to respond. Rather than seeking absolute answers, we explore questions that can transform the way we relate to life: • What if destiny is an invitation rather than a fixed destination? • How do our beliefs, habits, and relationships shape the future we experience? • Can surrender and responsibility exist together? • What does conscious participation reveal about purpose, possibility, and becoming? Whether you're navigating a major life transition, questioning your path, or simply curious about the mystery of being human, this conversation offers thoughtful perspectives to help you walk with greater presence, integrity, and intention. Join us as we discover that perhaps life is found not in choosing destiny or free will, but in learning to walk gracefully between them. Enhancing Your World — because how we participate in life ultimately enhances our world.
videoThe Stories That Shape Us with Lawrence Diminic
In this episode of The Enhancing Your World Show, Chris Albaugh sits down with Lawrence Diminic for a heartfelt conversation on storytelling, ancestry, identity, integrity, and the ways our lived experiences shape how we see ourselves and one another. Together, they explore how stories are more than entertainment. They are living relationships with memory, culture, family, hardship, belonging, and possibility. Through personal reflection and honest conversation, this episode invites listeners to consider the stories they have inherited, the stories they continue to participate in, and the stories they are now being called to live with more awareness. This conversation moves through themes of family roots, personal growth, cultural memory, self worth, spiritual reflection, and the balance between scarcity, excess, and right relationship. It is an invitation to listen beneath the surface and recognize how storytelling can help us remember who we are, where we come from, and how we choose to participate in the world. Why Listen: Listen if you enjoy deep, reflective conversations that move beyond surface level inspiration. This episode is for anyone who has ever questioned the stories they were given, felt called to understand their ancestry or identity more deeply, or wanted to turn life experience into wisdom rather than baggage. It points to a core Enhancing Your World truth: we are not just telling stories, we are living them. And when we become more conscious of the stories we carry, we can participate in life with more integrity, compassion, and coherence. To connect with Lawrence visit Instagram: el_humando
videoThe River: The Quality and Quantity of Our Participation
What if life is less like a destination and more like a river? A river is always moving. It does not stop because we resist it. It does not speed up because we demand it. It simply continues to flow, inviting everything it touches into relationship with its current. In today's episode of The Enhance Your World Show, we explore a simple but profound question: What is the quality and quantity of your participation in the flow of your presented reality? Many of us spend our lives trying to control the river. We fight the current, cling to the shoreline, or become consumed by what has already passed downstream. Others surrender completely and allow themselves to drift wherever the waters take them. But conscious participation may exist somewhere between control and surrender. Together, we'll explore: What it means to participate rather than merely observe life. The difference between reacting to circumstances and relating to them. How our beliefs, emotions, identities, and habits influence the way we navigate the current. The relationship between awareness, willingness, and action. Why two people can experience the same river yet have entirely different realities. How quality of participation often shapes outcomes more than quantity alone. What human consciousness may reveal about our relationship with the ever-changing flow of life. Through stories, reflection, and conversation, we'll examine how our participation influences our relationships, health, purpose, community, and the realities we help create together. Perhaps the river is not asking us to be perfect. Perhaps it is simply asking us to become aware of where we are, how we are relating, and whether we are willing to step more fully into the flow of life itself. Join us as we explore The River and the ongoing practice of conscious participation in the unfolding experience of being human. videoWhat is the opposite of lack?
Today's Episode: What Is the Opposite of Lack? We often hear people talk about abundance as the opposite of lack. But is it? What if the opposite of lack is not having more, but recognizing what is already present? In today's episode of the Enhancing Your World Show, we explore one of the most common human experiences: the feeling that something is missing. More money. More love. More success. More certainty. More time. More healing. Together, we'll examine how the mindset of lack can shape our perceptions, decisions, relationships, and sense of self, regardless of how much we actually possess. We'll explore: Why people with abundance can still feel empty How comparison fuels the experience of lack The difference between scarcity and stewardship Gratitude as awareness rather than performance How presence reveals opportunities that lack often hides The relationship between enoughness, growth, and purpose Why fulfillment is often found in participation rather than possession Through stories, reflections, and practical wisdom, we'll look beyond the promise of "more" and explore what becomes possible when we shift from chasing what is absent to relating differently with what is already here. Perhaps the opposite of lack is not abundance. Perhaps it is awareness. Perhaps it is gratitude. Perhaps it is participation. Join us as we explore how our relationship with life shapes our experience of it, and how remembering what is already present may be the first step toward enhancing our world. videoThe Will is the way
The Will & The Way Sometimes we keep searching for the way forward while avoiding the deeper truth that the way only reveals itself through willingness. This episode of Enhancing Your World explores the relationship between will, willingness, devotion, discipline, and surrender. We often say we want change, healing, connection, love, growth, or freedom, but the question becomes: are we willing to participate in the process that creates it? Because the will is not simply force. The will is not control. The will is not proving ourselves right. The will is the inner agreement to keep showing up with awareness, honesty, humility, and responsibility. And the way is not always shown before we begin. Sometimes the way is revealed one step, one breath, one conversation, one choice, and one act of participation at a time. In today’s episode, The Will & The Way, Chris “Yellow Owl” Albaugh reflects on what it means to truly participate in our own healing, relationships, purpose, and path forward. There are moments in life when we want answers, signs, direction, support, and certainty. Yet many times, the deeper invitation is not to know the whole way before we move. It is to become willing enough to take the next honest step. This conversation explores how our thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and unconscious reactions shape the path we walk. It invites us to look at where we may be waiting for life, others, or circumstances to change before we choose to show up differently. The will creates movement. The way reveals direction. Participation creates unity between the two. Through the lens of the GAUGE Your Life principles: Gratitude, Awareness, Unity, Growth, and Energy, this episode invites listeners to reflect on where they are being called to stop waiting, stop forcing, stop abandoning themselves, and begin walking with deeper presence. 1. The will is not force. True will is not about pushing, proving, controlling, or overpowering life. It is the deeper inner agree
videoThe artform of Letting Go.
What does it truly mean to let go? In a world that teaches us to hold tightly to identities, pride, power, possessions, expectations, relationships, pain, success, control, and even our survival stories, many people find themselves exhausted from carrying versions of themselves they no longer resonate with. Yet letting go is not about giving up, suppressing emotions, or pretending the past never happened. It is the conscious art of creating space for growth, truth, healing, and deeper alignment. In this episode, we explore the many layers of letting go from emotional attachments, resentment, guilt, shame, and fear, to releasing outdated beliefs, unconscious patterns, and the need to control how life unfolds. Together, we reflect on how holding onto suffering can quietly shape our nervous systems, relationships, identities, and ability to experience peace in the present moment. We discuss how letting go can become an act of compassion rather than loss. Sometimes the greatest transformation comes not from forcing life into our preferred outcomes, but from learning how to participate consciously with what is already unfolding. This conversation weaves together perspectives on healing, nervous system regulation, authentic self-awareness, forgiveness, accountability, emotional resilience, and the courage to move beyond survival into conscious living. Because perhaps letting go is not the loss of who we are… but the release of everything we were never meant to carry forever. Join us for a reflective and grounded conversation about healing, growth, and learning the arts of letting go. Topics Include: Emotional attachment & identity Nervous system regulation Forgiveness & accountability Releasing fear, shame & resentment Conscious relationships & boundaries Growth through uncertainty Healing through awareness & presence Creating space for new possibilities Walk with us at EnhancingYourWorld.com
videoWhat is Holistic Recovery with Katie Shaub
What if recovery wasn’t about fixing what’s broken, but remembering what’s whole? Through the lens of the GAUGE Your Life principles—Gratitude, Awareness, Unity, Growth, and Energy—Chris shares how true recovery happens when we begin to: Reconnect with the body and its wisdom Build emotional awareness and regulation Shift subconscious patterns and inherited responses Cultivate compassion, acceptance, and unconditional love Align thoughts, actions, and energy with a deeper sense of purpose This episode invites you to explore recovery as expansion—not restriction.
