Beyond Identity: Many Expressions, One Living Field We’ve all been told directly and indirectly how we should, could, or would be a better version of ourselves in relation to how someone else chooses to live. Belonging offered conditionally. Improvement framed through comparison. Worth measured against another person’s beliefs, values, or comfort. Much of this comes wrapped in authority from preachers, teachers, priests, leaders, experts, and systems that speak as if they stand above the human condition.
